How it works

  1. Upload the episode file. Upload the episode file (MP3 or M4A) from your device, or paste a YouTube link if the episode is on YouTube. Direct MP3 URLs and RSS feeds are not supported yet.
  2. Transcribe the episode. Press Transcribe and DomeScribe runs the full episode through Whisper. Each plan caps the length of a single file: 30 minutes on the free plan, 4 hours on Pro, 8 hours on Business.
  3. Give it a few minutes. Processing takes roughly a tenth of the episode length — a 45-minute episode is typically done in about five minutes. Progress is displayed while it runs.
  4. Turn it into show notes. Browse the completed transcript, then download it for show notes or blog companion posts (free account). The AI tools can draft the show notes, a newsletter, or a blog post from the transcript directly.

Can I transcribe a podcast directly from its RSS feed?

Direct MP3 URLs and RSS feeds are not supported yet — download the episode from your host and upload the file. If the episode is also published on YouTube, you can paste that link instead.

How does DomeScribe handle multi-host podcast conversations?

Pro accounts can transcribe files up to 4 hours long and Business accounts up to 8 hours; the free plan accepts up to 30 minutes per file. Processing time scales with length — roughly a tenth of the episode's duration — and the result is just as accurate.
